Congratulations to Christopher Simmons from Wilmington NC on winning the ASN WeWood Watch Giveaway. Christopher submitted an amazing poem that should make us all take a step back and think about how we are impacting the Earth. “Earth, barren wasteland, frigid seas, mountain snowcaps, jungle trees the sheer power brings me to my knees its earth and all her majesty. All creatures that are large and small are wonderful to one and all. There’s some up high and some down low some with gills and fins also born with fur and skin. Though deep below the crust we go we see not rain nor wind nor snow to the place where red hot magma flows. All people here have different places from different times and different places. Some kill until they can no more until furs cover their floor. Yet preservation is the way for each and every single day. But we are slipping slowly now but when and where will someone grab our hand for the death of earth is the death of man.”

Coming in second was Emelie Rota who has demonstrated her eco prowess through her new venture Revelish Media and the fact that she was one of the first eco-brokers in the country for the real estate industry. Emelie is walking away with a brand new WeWood watch along with $50 to spend at her favorite shop, Surfy Surfy.

In third place was William Wiencke who is defending the environment through his installation of solar panels for numerous houses and businesses in and around the Seaside Park area of New Jersey. William gets to spend $50 at his favorite shop, Right Coast Surf Shop. Just in time for summer, that $50 could always get you a nice new pair of board shorts.
