As an example – with the continuous conglomeration of plastics being dumped into our oceans daily, I take it upon myself to utilize multiple use bags and have even gone so far as to return any plastic bags my wife may accumulate when she goes to the grocer and forgets to bring our multi’s. I make it my place to pick up ANY trash I may come across, be it out for a leisurely stroll or going into work. If every sober person took the time to see how their general disregard for not placing refuse in it’s place, and making this town, city, county, country, continent and planet disgustingly uninhabitable, perhaps then we would start to see the significance of our ignorance? I live in Los Angeles, one of the dirtiest cities with regard to air and street conditions, BUT I do take it upon myself to clear refuse, bit and pieces, etc. when I walk, when I shop and when I move about this place. I’m just one, but I try and spread the word to reduce, reuse and recycle! Just like the song. Oh, and I’m not a hippie.
Just a guy trying to make this planet a clean and inhabitable place for my son or daughter. Thank you.
Right on Robert! If everyone had your attitude, we would all be living in a better place!!!
I’d say Oetzi the iceman was pretty minimalist. Oh and cool shoes.
