Alex Smith from Pompano Beach, FL

Any place I can get wet.

Bonnie Tucker from Salinas, CA

Both of course!!

Brandon Bethea from San Diego, CA

I would rather SUP in the surf. There’s always the chance that you might see a shark or whale!

Caroline Woodward from New Smyrna Beach, FL

A SUP is for both! When the surf is small or when the surf is nonexistent, a SUP board is perfect for both! To have the perfect day, all you need is a SUP.

Christopher Alexander from Tolland, CT

I think I would love to SUP on flat water. Flat water gives you that opportunity to decompress and paddle away your stress. It’s also an opportunity to explore new places and enjoy it with your family…

David Kellogg from Crested Butte, CO

I would SUP in a lake or in the ocean. SUP trips to the moon or any given notion.

Ed Pickett from Wilmington, NC

In the surf, but flatwater if there is no surf.

Felix Ugalde from Encinitas, CA

I am a first timer to SUP, but have friends who SUP and love it both in the ocean and flatwater. I would be hyped on the opportunity to just get out there and do it.

Frank Rossi from Northford, CT

Flat Water.

Greg Lew from Wilmington NC

The greatest thing about SUP is that you can have fun in all weather conditions. If the surf is ‘on’, then I’d rather be out in the waves. If the wind is blowing, then downwinding is where it’s at. And if none of the above, flatwater and taking my family out for a paddle is the way to go!

Jeremy Hughes from San Francisco, CA

I would rather SUP in the surf if the surf was small

Jesse McCrey from Ocean Isle Beach, NC

If I’m in the surf I would rather surf a regular shortboard so I can do some turns. Also I’m not good enough on the SUP to not be a danger for everyone in the lineup! Now back in the marsh is so much fun though. Great exercise as well as getting to see tons of wild life! I love doing it in the flat water.

Keith Jensen from Wilmington, NC

Really love to paddle surf…after nearly forty years of surfing I was ready for something new and psurf it is.

Peter Fritzler from Wilmington, NC

I would SUP on both. It’s funny but I was on the fence about SUPs until a friend of mine invited me to stay with him on the Big Island. He took me paddleboarding one day and while we were out I saw a sea turtle swim under me. It was one of the coolest things I’ve ever experienced. Having the higher point-of-view from standing allowed me to see the turtle. Had I been laying on the board I would never have seen it. That moment totally changed my perspective. And knowing that I either take the SUP in the surf or in the marsh only makes it much cooler. Plus, I’m a bit of a fat ass so having the exercise function of the SUP to tone me up is icing on the cake.

Ralph Inouye from Pearl City, HI

SUP any water is great.

Rex McGrath from San Diego, CA

Surf.

Samantha Pasalic from Mansfield, TX

I’m gonna say flat water because I’ve never tried it before.

Sandi Stockton from Parker, CO

If it’s in Hawaii in the surf! Preferably Hanalei Bay! If Cali in small surf like Dana Pt! If in Colorado def flat water, cuz if there’s surf in Co, then you have a lot more serious problems to deal with…Like Tornado! West coast has fallen off due to Earthquake, or endoftheworld Zombies!
