On July 4, 1776, the fathers of this great nation signed the Declaration of Independence…
As many of us know, the Declaration of Independence was put together by the continental congress which declared the 13 colonies, then war with Great Britain, and no longer part of the British Empire. A year before the Declaration of Independence was put into effect, John Adams had put together a rough draft of which ultimately led to the Declaration. The committee elected our good friend Thomas Jefferson to compose the original draft of the Declaration of Independence. This document declared our independence from Great Britain and is celebrated on the 4th of July, the day congress approved the warding of the Declaration.
