Lotus has stepped outside the box to produce a unique blend of musical genres to create their own fascinating sound.
Founded in 1999 at Goshen College in Indiana, this jam/electronic band described themselves as “jamtronica” for the first few years of playing. The band’s first album, Vibes, came after they recruited percussionist Chuck Morris and after shifting their focus to instrumental jam music. Vibes was a compilation of their live performances from their 2001 tour and was released in 2002 followed by two studio albums that came out between 2003 and 2006. This band has an incredible live performance that keeps everyone grooving throughout the entire show. The band has built much of their following through word of mouth and live performances that seem to stick in people’s minds for a long time. Lotus is comprised of Mike Greenfield on the drums, Jesse Miller on Bass/Sampler, Luke Miller on Guitar/keys, Chuck Morris on Percussion, and Mike Rempel on Guitar. This band is currently in high demand with music lovers from all genre’s, they bring the heat at every show and are wanted at all major festivals to keep things real. Lotus’s newest album is a self-titled album which was released on September 13th, 2011 and hasn’t looked back since.
