The Winter X Games Real Snow Backcountry contest began last year to reveal the true essence of backcountry snowboarding. It was a way to show the masses a different aspect of snowboarding other than the traditional contest scene. Nicolas Muller, John Jackson, Jussi Oksanen and Mark Sollors were chose to submit a video of their backcountry shredding, in the end Nicolas ended up with a gold medal. In this video, Big Picture, the guys talk about what it was like getting into the filming groove extra early to shoot their parts.
