Anyone who knows a surfboard shaper, knows that they can be a little quirky. Taking liberties with shapes, fin placements and even freehanding it with shape outlines. Not that they aren’t artists in their own right. It’s just that you usually want to get what you asked for when you’re spending $600+ on a custom shape. Watch the video below for a little insight into the mind of a shaper.
North Kiteboarding has been a staple in the kiteboarding industry for a long time. Their 2012 Evo kite is one of the most versatile yet. Read more for the full product review on the North Evo Kite.
Kiteboarding has become increasingly specialized over the past decade. North has recognized many kiters’ frustrations at having to bring along multiple kites in addition to their boards. Those days are over if you’ve got the Evo.
At it’s core the Evo is a delta shape with four lines (compatible with five) and five struts. It’s stability and comfort is immediately noticeable in a variety of riding conditions. The range of wind conditions obviously are dependent on the size of the kite you choose. Overall, the Evo is a great kite for those of you looking to go from freestyle to kitesurfing or vice versa.
