Business Overview

Cool Breeze Cyclery was founded in 1988. The original bike shop, located on Main Street in downtown Mooresville, NC, began as a Raleigh bicycle dealer. Over the next 10 years, Cool Breeze Cyclery continued to grow and earn its positive reputation for sales, service and bicycle fitting. Trek Bicycle Corporation honored Cool Breeze Cyclery with an award for Outstanding Retail Achievement in 1998. The business also earned the Bank of America Small Business Champion Award in 2001. In 2006, Cool Breeze Cyclery moved to its current location in Mooresville Gateway. The cycling community has responded to the move well. With the addition of the Cool Breeze Coaching Center, the first integrated Compu-Trainer and Coaching Facility in the region. In 2007, Trek Bicycle Company granted the owners of Cool Breeze Cyclery the exclusive rights to a new Trek Concept Store, only the second store of its kind in North Carolina. Exactly two years after opening its doors in Mooresville Gateway, the cycling community welcomed Trek Bicycle Store | Charlotte by Northlake Mall in November of 2008. The 6,000 square foot concept store stands in a beautiful building among retail giants including Office Max, PetSmart and Best Buy.
